Ivan Dolowich is the Managing Partner of KDVG’s New York City Office. Mr. Dolowich is a nationally recognized attorney in the practice areas of Directors and Officers (D&O) Liability, Financial Professional Liability Insurance, and various Errors and Omissions matters. Prior to joining the Firm, he served as Vice President, Claim Services at St. Paul Travelers, managing the legacy Gulf Insurance business with a team of over 150 attorneys, claim examiners and claim operations personnel. Previously, he held similar senior positions in D&O and financial-related lines claims with Kemper and CNA.

Mr. Dolowich has a record of accomplishment managing litigation and claims in all aspects of Property and Casualty Insurance with a focus on Directors and Officers Liability, Financial Institutions/Fidelity, Employment Practices Liability and Professional Liability. He applies his depth of Professional Liability experience to matters involving insurance agents and brokers, investment advisors, lawyers, accountants, architects, engineers and miscellaneous Errors and Omissions matters.

His Commercial Litigation experience includes successful prosecution and defense of securities and consumer class actions as well as representing leading insurance companies, financial institutions, public companies, directors and officers, not-for-profit organizations and their boards. He has served as an expert in Directors and Officers disputes among insurers and as a mediator in class action litigation fee disputes.

Mr. Dolowich is a published author and frequent speaker at many leading industry associations and symposia. From 2004 to 2008, he served as a Co-Chair of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society's (PLUS) Annual Directors and Officers Liability Symposium.

He earned his Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law where he graduated cum laude and served as a member of the Law Review. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis.
Mr. Dolowich is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and before the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. His memberships include the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and its Insurance Committee.

Joseph P. Mooney joined Catlin as Director of Professional Liability Claims in February 2009. Prior to joining Catlin, Joe had been the Vice President of the Professional Liability Claims Department at ACE managing two teams of Claims Specialists, one in the New York Office and one in the Atlanta Office from March 2004 until February 2009.

In 1997 Joe began his career in Professional Liability claims at AIG, first as a Complex Claims Director and then was promoted to Mainstream Director in the Directors & Officers Liability Department managing a team of Claims Analysts in the New York Office. He was promoted to Assistant Vice President and transferred to the London Office to start up a Professional Liability Claims Office for policies issued to North American and European Insureds by the AIG Lloyds of London Underwriting Team from June 2002 until March 2004.

From 1989 until 1997, Joe practiced law focused primarily in the areas of Medical Malpractice, Professional Liability, as well as Commercial and Banking related litigation for several law firms in New York.

From 1983 until his second year of Law School (1987) Joe worked for a New York Bank as an Assistant Treasurer managing their Retail Banking Operations
